During summer I get really lazy when it comes to doing my makeup. I think its something to do with the warm weather (or the slightly warm but still cold weather of North Scotland that we like to call “summer”). I don’t know, but anyway the products I use in my everyday makeup routine definitely shrinks to about six/seven products and the feel of any heavy makeup on my face just feels gross to me. I also tend to wear my glasses a lot more during the summer so that also changes the way I do my makeup. So today I thought I would share with you my everyday summer make up routine which is just a really simple, no makeup makeup look.
So the first thing I do is debate whether or not I want to wear makeup that day. Seriously though, most days in summer I don’t wear makeup at all, but some days I choose to. Today I am going to be talking about the days when I do want to wear makeup because if not this post would be beyond boring as it would already be finished and we don’t want that now do we?
So I actually tend to start with my eyebrows when I’m doing my makeup during the summer months because sometimes I will just stick to eyebrows and mascara so if I start with them, I can choose to add to it or just leave it as is, if that makes sense. When I fill in my brows I tend to use Soap and Glory’s archery pencil in dark chocolate. I use this shade because although my hair is naturally blonde, it is currently pink so I prefer to use this shade instead of the blonde shade because it means I can adjust my brow colour to colour of my hair. Then I use my trusty Urban Decay perversion mascara and apply that to both my top and bottom lashes, just so it can make me look a bit more awake and less attacked by hay fever.
If I choose to add more to my makeup I will apply a pressed setting powder to act as a foundation. If you read my previous post on how to keep your makeup sweat proof you will know that I like to switch out any cream or liquid products for powder to keep my face looking matte and to stop any makeup meltage. I like to use the Rimmel stay matte powder in the shade transparent as it has a very light amount of pigment in it, which believe it or not, is the perfect shade of powder for my pale pale face. I then lightly contour and pack as much highlighter as I possibly can without looking like I applied glitter nail varnish to my face. Sometimes if I feel like it, I will add lipstick but I tend to just stick to lip balm and that’s me done.
So yeah I hope you enjoyed this post, if you want to read more please feel free to stick around and have a look through my other posts. Otherwise I tend to post on Thursdays, or at least try to anyway (sorry for missing last week), so please come visit again if you wish to. Please give this post a like if you enjoyed it and if you enjoyed it so much that liking it is just not enough you can even follow my blog by clicking on the follow buttons to the right. But yeah, thank you very much for reading and I will see you all next time, bye x
I love makeup and I love putting it on, but in summer, I just can’t be bothered, especially with my oily skin

Same, I absolutely adore makeup and everything about it. But honestly summer is just the worst when it comes to makeup, it either melts off or just makes your face feel even warmer than it already is!
